TH (Total Hardness of water) is a measure of some multivalent cations, such as calcium ions, present in water. High TH levels can cause the colors of new leaves to fade and disrupt the growth of aquarium plants. Therefore, it is important to regularly check TH levels when setting stones or gravels in the aquarium.
