Monosolenium tenerum, a type of liverwort commonly referred to as Pelia moss, originates from Asia. Appearing similar to Riccia, it resides at the bottom of aquariums and can provide a captivating effect with its lush foliage. An ideal addition to any planted tank, this aquatic plant brings an inviting touch of green.

Monosolenium tenerum is capable of reaching heights of 2-5 cm and typically presents in green. Its brittle consistency makes it prone to breaking, so securing it with fishing line or placing it between sturdier plants such as Eleocharis is advisable.

Monosolenium tenerum is a low-maintenance, easy to care for aquarium plant that flourishes with moderate lighting and a pH between 6.5 and 7.5, as well as soft to moderately hard water at temperatures between 20-28°C. To keep it healthy, it requires adequate nutrients, which can be obtained through liquid fertilizers, root tabs, or CO2 injection.

If the color of the plant begins to change to brown or yellow, it may be an indication of nutrient deficiency or lack of sufficient lighting. When provided with proper care, Monosolenium tenerum can beautify an aquarium, creating a lush environment for its inhabitants.
