Unlike other Rotala rotundifolia varieties, 'Manipurensis' has slightly broader leaves and a more compact growth habit, making it an excellent choice for aquascapers looking to add bold color and texture to their tanks. It thrives in well-maintained aquariums and is best suited for background or midground placement.

Care Requirements:

  • Water Parameters: Prefers a temperature range of 20–28°C, with an optimal pH of 5.5–7.5 and soft to moderately hard water (3–12 dGH).
  • Nutrient Requirements: Requires regular fertilization with iron and micronutrients to enhance its vibrant coloration. CO₂ injection significantly boosts growth rate and intensifies the reddish hues.
