Pond Medic Algae Straw works by releasing natural microorganisms and chemicals that stop algae and blanket weed growth. Its special composition gives it a large surface area for better water/oxygen access and even chemical/microorganism distribution. Algae Straw takes 2-4 weeks to become effective depending on water temperature and may work for up to 3 months. For larger ponds, use multiple bundles in distinct areas.
