Ludwiga Peruensis

Ludwigia Peruensis, more commonly referred to as Ludwiga Glandulosa, is native to North America. This aquarium plant is renowned for its beauty, featuring small spade-shaped leaves that range in color from brown to an eye-catching deep red. Proper lighting and fertilization will bring out the deep red tones and make it a standout in your tank. To further accentuate its appearance, it is recommended that Ludwiga Glandulosa be planted in groups.      

Caring for Our Ludwiga Peruensis

Provided optimal care, Ludwiga Peruensis will expand swiftly, giving off vivid olive-green/pink or red foliage. For its best growth and color saturation, this plant should have proper lighting.

  • Temperature Range: 21-27°C
  • Tank Placement: Midground-Background

Ludwiga Peruensis should be planted in small groups in the middle or back of the aquarium. Stems should be planted individually. Regular trimming will keep the plant compact and looking its best. Propagation is from cuttings and side shoots.
