DESCRIPTION

Neocaridina davidi “Jinsha”

Color Variant: Orange-Yellow with Light Dorsal Stripe
Difficulty: Beginner-friendly
Water Hardness: Soft to hard
Breeding: Freshwater, no larval stage

A stunning new Skyfish-bred variant from Taiwan, the Neocaridina davidi “Jinsha” features a vibrant orange-yellow body with a striking pale dorsal stripe.   Known for their cheerful appearance and peaceful nature, Jinsha shrimp are active, hardy, and perfect for planted nano tanks.

Originally developed by renowned breeder Leon Su (Sky Fish), Jinsha shrimp boast exceptional color intensity and pattern quality. Like all Neocaridina, they thrive in a wide range of water conditions and are well-suited to beginners.

Key Traits:

  • Peaceful and social; best kept in groups of 10+

  • Excellent algae grazers and scavengers

  • Ideal for planted tanks with hiding spots like moss, roots, and stones

  • Offspring inherit coloration with some variation—selective breeding is encouraged

To preserve their vivid color, keep Jinsha shrimp in species-only tanks and avoid mixing with other Neocaridina varieties. They can be housed with peaceful snails and small, shrimp-safe fish.

A delight to watch and easy to care for, the Jinsha is a standout addition to any shrimp collection
