DESCRIPTION

Introduction:

Cryptocoryne nurii is a stunning aquatic plant known for its wavy, elongated leaves and unique coloration, ranging from deep green to reddish-brown with intricate patterns. Native to Malaysia and parts of Indonesia, this slow-growing species thrives in both submerged and emersed conditions. The tissue culture variant ensures a pest-free, algae-free, and disease-free start, making it an excellent choice for aquarists looking to establish a healthy planted tank with minimal risk of contamination.

Care Requirements:

  • Water Parameters: Prefers temperatures between 22-28°C, with a pH range of 5.5-7.5 and soft to moderately hard water.
  • Nutrient Requirements: Grows best in a nutrient-rich substrate with additional root tabs. Liquid fertilization and CO₂ injection can enhance growth and coloration but are not essential.
  • Tank Setup: Ideal for midground placement in aquascapes. A fine-grain, nutrient-dense substrate supports root development. Moderate lighting encourages vibrant leaf patterns while reducing algae risks.

Care Tips:

Tissue culture plants need a careful transition from their sterile gel environment. Rinse off all gel before planting, and introduce the plant gradually to submerged conditions. Cryptocoryne nurii may experience "Crypt melt" when adjusting to a new setup, but stable water conditions will promote healthy regrowth.

Cryptocoryne nurii (Tissue Culture) offers a clean and safe way to introduce this beautiful species into your aquascape. With its rich colors and textured foliage, it brings a natural, lush aesthetic to any planted aquarium.
