The Bristlenose Pleco is an ideal algae eater for freshwater aquariums - its natural diet consists of biofilm, algae, and other organic matter. Its hardy nature and small size make it a great choice for the beginning aquarist. It's also an excellent choice for tanks with live plants, as its eating habits make it extremely unlikely to cause any damage to them.
