Anubias barteri var. nana 'Petite'

Introduction:

Anubias barteri var. nana 'Petite', commonly known as Anubias 'Petite', is one of the smallest and most delicate varieties of Anubias, perfect for nano aquariums or refined aquascaping details. With its tiny, deep green leaves and slow-growing habit, this plant is ideal for attaching to rocks, driftwood, or other hardscape elements. Its compact form allows for detailed layering and foreground accents. Supplied in tissue culture format, this Ready to Grow Anubias 'Petite' is pest-free, algae-free, and safe for clean tank setups.

Care Requirements:

  • Water Parameters:
    Temperature: 20–28 °C
    pH Range: 6.0–7.5
    Water Hardness: 3–12 dGH

  • Nutrient Requirements:
Very low demands. Does well in low-tech setups. Benefits from occasional liquid fertilization. CO₂ is not required but may enhance growth slightly.

  • Tank Setup:
Best used in the foreground or on hardscape in small tanks or as detail in larger layouts. Should not be buried in substrate—attach with thread, glue, or place in crevices. Thrives in low to moderate lighting.

Care Tips:

Rinse off tissue culture gel thoroughly before planting. Do not bury the rhizome. Trim old or damaged leaves occasionally. Ideal for shrimp tanks and shaded areas of the aquascape.

With its miniature size, hardy nature, and aesthetic charm, Anubias 'Petite' is a must-have for aquarists seeking subtle detail and long-lasting greenery. The tissue culture format provides a clean, secure start for both new and established tanks.
