Introduction:

Anubias 'Stardust Mini' is a rare and highly desirable variety of Anubias, known for its compact size and stunning variegated leaves. Featuring a mix of dark and light green with speckled or marbled patterns, this small but eye-catching plant is perfect for nano aquariums and intricate aquascapes. Like other Anubias species, it is slow-growing, hardy, and thrives in a variety of freshwater environments with minimal maintenance.

Care Requirements:

  • Water Parameters: Prefers temperatures between 22–28°C, with a pH range of 6.0–7.5 and soft to moderately hard water (dH up to 12).
  • Nutrient Requirements: Benefits from liquid fertilizers rich in iron and micronutrients to maintain its vibrant variegation. CO₂ supplementation is optional but can enhance growth.
  • Tank Setup: Best attached to driftwood, rocks, or other hardscape elements rather than buried in the substrate to prevent rhizome rot. Thrives in low to moderate lighting to avoid excessive algae buildup.

Care Tips:

To maintain its variegation, ensure stable water conditions and avoid excessive nitrogen, which may lead to darker green leaves. Regularly clean the delicate leaves to prevent algae accumulation and keep them looking their best. Due to its small size, it is an excellent choice for foreground or midground placement in aquascapes.
