DESCRIPTION

Introduction:

Anubias 'Chili Mini' is a rare and compact variety of Anubias, prized for its small, elongated leaves and slow-growing nature. This miniature plant is perfect for nano aquariums, intricate aquascapes, and foreground placements, adding a refined texture to planted tanks. Like other Anubias species, 'Chili Mini' is incredibly hardy and adaptable, thriving in a wide range of freshwater environments with minimal maintenance.

Care Requirements:

  • Water Parameters: Prefers temperatures between 22–28°C, with a pH range of 6.0–7.5 and soft to moderately hard water (dH up to 12).
  • Nutrient Requirements: Requires little fertilization but benefits from liquid nutrients containing iron and micronutrients. CO₂ supplementation is not necessary but can promote healthier growth.
  • Tank Setup: Best suited for attachment to driftwood, rocks, or other hardscape elements. Should not be buried in the substrate to prevent rhizome rot. Thrives in low to moderate lighting to prevent algae accumulation on the leaves.

Care Tips:

To maintain its compact size and healthy appearance, provide stable water conditions and avoid excessive direct lighting. Use gentle water flow to prevent debris buildup on the leaves. Occasional leaf cleaning will help keep the plant looking vibrant and algae-free.

Anubias 'Chili Mini' is an excellent choice for aquarists looking for a small, hardy, and visually appealing plant. Its unique leaf shape and compact growth make it a standout addition to nano tanks and detailed aquascapes.
