DESCRIPTION
Riccia fluitans, a floating liverwort reaching 1-5 cm tall, has been popularized by Mr. Takashi Amano, a renowned Japanese aquarist and photographer. This plant may be secured to a stone with fishing line, though it generally grows towards the surface, requiring pruning with scissors. With the addition of CO2, oxygen bubbles will form on the leaf tips, signifying Riccia fluitans' optimal growing conditions. As a traditional floating plant, it also offers great protection for juvenile fish.
