Glossostigma elatinoides is widely used for Japanese-style tanks, as it is one of the smallest aquarium plants, making it perfect for the foreground. Despite its small size, care must be taken to provide enough light, as it has a tendency to grow upwards if it is insufficient. Additionally, it should not be overshadowed by larger plants. When planting, create small clumps (roughly 1/8 of the pot) a few centimeters apart for a quick coverage of the ground. CO2 injection and soft water can significantly boost its growth.
