DESCRIPTION

Dendrobium loddigesii x Angel Lake

Pot Size: 7cm
Status: Flowering Size

This charming hybrid is ideal for terrariums, paludariums, or outdoor cultivation. It can be grown flat on a platform or mounted on wood or rocks, making it a versatile and attractive choice for creative displays.

Light Requirements:

  • Prefers 60% shading, or exposure to morning sunlight with shading provided during the afternoon.

Temperature Requirements:

  • Thrives within a range of 3°C to 28°C.

  • Needs a 10°C difference between day and night temperatures to promote healthy growth and flowering.

Growing Medium:

  • Can be potted in a well-draining medium based on bark and peat.

  • Alternatively, can be mounted on wood, using a substrate like coconut fiber or sphagnum moss to retain some moisture.

Watering and Fertilizing:

  • Water regularly during active growth, allowing the medium to dry slightly between waterings.

  • Fertilize weekly during summer with a balanced orchid fertilizer diluted to half strength.

Additional Notes:

  • In cooler months, reduce watering and fertilization slightly to reflect the natural rest period.

  • Excellent air movement is recommended to prevent fungal issues, especially if mounted.
