More Information:
This plant is commonly traded under the name Hygrophila sp. "Thailand", and is likely identical to the cultivar Hygrophila corymbosa "Siamensis 53B". In its submersed form, it produces narrow, light green leaves with a reddish stem and develops a dense, upright growth pattern.
Like most Hygrophila species, it is undemanding and thrives in a wide range of water conditions. However, it responds very well to strong lighting, CO₂ injection, and a steady supply of micro- and macronutrients—resulting in more vibrant coloration and faster, bushier growth.
Hygrophila corymbosa 'Thailand' is an excellent choice for creating lush plant groupings, filling in background areas, or forming structured "plant streets" in Dutch-style layouts. It is easily propagated by cutting and replanting stems, making it ideal for regular trimming and re-scaping.
