DESCRIPTION

Red Rili Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi var. "Rili")

The Red Rili Shrimp is a vibrant and eye-catching twist on the classic red cherry shrimp. Selectively bred for contrast, it features striking bright red markings alongside translucent body patches, adding a unique flair to any planted aquarium.

Hardy and beginner-friendly, Red Rilis are easy to care for and thrive in a wide range of water conditions. They prefer well-established tanks with stable parameters and plenty of hiding spots like moss, driftwood, and shrimp tubes.

Ideal Water Parameters:

  • Temperature: 18–29 °C

  • pH: 6.2–8.0

  • GH: 4–8

  • KH: 3–15

  • TDS: 150–200 ppm

Key Traits:

  • Active and peaceful scavengers

  • Breed readily in freshwater

  • Great for nano or community tanks with gentle tankmates

  • Best color contrast in planted setups

Red Rili Shrimp do best in shrimp-only or peaceful invert community tanks. Avoid mixing with larger or aggressive fish. Compatible companions include small snails, Thai micro crabs, or Caridina shrimp.
