Native to South America—specifically Argentina—this species is known for its small, round, bright green leaves and creeping growth habit. Sometimes confused with Hemianthus callitrichoides (Dwarf Baby Tears), Monte Carlo is generally easier to grow and more adaptable, making it a favorite for both beginners and experienced aquarists seeking a vibrant, low-growing foreground cover.
