The species of Chiloscyphus polyanthus was found in the rill between Wherrytown's boating lake and circular pond in Penzance, Cornwall on June 9th, 2011. This species of liverwort has a highly attractive leaf structure, offering a unique and aesthetically pleasing view for terrariums and paludariums.
The Chiloscyphus polyanthus was observed on the edges of a rill and in a submerged state of 5 - 10cm deep water along the full length of the rill (50m). This versatile species of plant is capable of adapting to both shallow and deep water environments, making it well suited for many types of aquatic habitats.
